Top 10 admission-season FAQs

1. Does the fourth subject count towards my admission GPA?

It depends on the university and unit. Some circulars apply the fourth-subject bonus, others do not. Use the GPA calculator to see both figures, then follow the exact wording of the circular for that unit.

2. How do I know a deadline is still open?

Every deadline page shows an Asia/Dhaka countdown and the last verified date. A record marked historical has closed. Always confirm on the official circular before paying a fee.

3. Can I apply to more than one unit of the same university?

Several universities allow multiple unit applications, but the rule changes by year. Check the current circular and the application portal; do not rely on last year’s rule.

4. What happens if I miss the deadline by one day?

Most portals close automatically and cannot be reopened by the university. ShikkhaPath does not accept applications, so contact the university admission office directly for any exception.

5. How does migration work after admission?

Migration is a university-specific process with its own merit list and deadlines. It is not guaranteed and is usually announced after the main admission completes.

6. Is the eligibility checker an official decision?

No. It is a guidance check based only on published, machine-checkable criteria. Quota, medical, practical and unpublished conditions always show “check required”.

7. Why does a fee or seat count say “unavailable”?

Because no verified source published it. ShikkhaPath never fills gaps with guesses. If you have the official circular, send it through the tip form and our editors will review it.

8. How do cluster seating and choice filling work?

GST cluster admission uses a separate portal, merit list and choice-filling window. Follow the published cluster instructions and keep your payment receipt.

9. Can I request a re-check of my admission test script?

Only where the authority publishes a re-check window. The process, fee and result timeline are set by the university, not by ShikkhaPath.

10. How do I report a wrong deadline or fee?

Use the form on this page and choose “Report incorrect information”. Include the official source URL if you have it. Editors verify every correction before a record changes.
